Bridie Jackson is a performer, creative practitioner, composer and sound artist, well known for composing innovative, voice centred bespoke scores for Theatre, Opera, Dance, Film and exhibitions and has created work with a range of arts organisations including Theatre Hullabaloo, Open Clasp and Meta 4 Dance.

 

As a songwriter, Bridie’s work received national recognition and critical acclaim after winning the Glastonbury Emerging Talent Contest in 2013 with her band, Bridie Jackson and The Arbour, and she now regularly records and performs as a solo artist.

 

Bridie has also worked extensively for Creative People and Places, an Arts Council initiated national programme that is focused on supporting more people to choose, create and take part in art experiences in the places where they liveand this has had a profound impact on her creative practise, instilling a deep passion for socially engaged, co-created work with communities.
